The copyright register enables a faster and more competitive protection to its owner, and provides business such as assignment or licensing of rights in a faster and more efficient manner. Even without the register, however, the law assures to the creator the right to dismiss the non-authorized use and to obtain reimbursement for the damages suffered. However, the register is recommended for being an excellent evidence.
